Common Noddy – Tern – Terne – (Anous stolidus)

Another picture from my trip to Australia, 2008. We went on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef.  This Common Noddy was sitting on a rope at a barrier island about a three-hour trip from Cairns.  We were snorkeling in the coral reef and it was absolutely fantastic. It was like swimming in an aquarium with colourful fishes like «Nemi», sea turtles, anemones and stunning marine plants. This was a great experience, something we still remember! My contribution to «WildBirdWednesday»
