Sjakk  er et spill fra India – Persia som ble populært i Sør Europa på 1400 tallet. Spillet har noe krigersk over seg. Disse muslimene  er de svarte brikkene i oppstillinga jeg har. Motstanderne ser du under.

Chess is a board game originating from India – Iran and was introduced in Europe in 1400s. The game has something warlike about it. The Muslims represents the black half,  Opponents see below.

Korsfarerne skal kjempe som de hvite brikkene. Jeg har selv laga disse figurene og behandlet dem slik at de har fått en gammelt preg over seg.  Muslimer mot korsfarere på sjakkbrettet, – dette gir meg klare assosiasjoner mot dagens maktkamper.
The Crusaders are the oponents in white. I have made these chesspieces myself and treated them in order to make them look antique.
Muslims against Crusaders on the chessboard, – this gives me associations to the ongoing conflict between the two!
