Northern Pintail – Anas acuta – Stjertand
A Northern_Pintail (Anas Acuta) is at the moment at Nidarø in Trondheim Norway.
His girlfriend is a female Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). She likes his company!
Actually he has got a lot of friends at Nidarø.

well they do look similar. just compared to my post last week, the most obvious difference seems to be the brown head for the female pintail compared to the mallard. they are a lovely duck, I was impressed when I saw them in Japan, the one and only time. nice pics.
