Bird Migration

These emus (Dromaius novaehollandiae) came back too early this year, only snow to see in the fields!

Ok, just take your portrait. But, hurry up I freezing cold! Australia is a much better place to be!

Oj, sådana ser man ju inte så ofta! Men har de flugit vilse och hamnat i Norge, eller brukar de vara där??
Fina bilder i alla fall. Inte säkert att de fryser, de har ju massor av fjädrar! 🙂

Not used to seeing a emu in the snow.

Our winter is still hanging on though the snow is finally gone. We had many birds come back to snow cover and the migrating water birds were greeted with frozen lakes. They went elsewhere, but I don’t know where. Hopefully where they could find food to sustain them until the warmer weather comes. These are marvelous pictures of the Emus. Hopefully they will be able to dig up some food even with the snow on the ground.
